HELLDIVER

“Several things caught my attention while reading this book that I really appreciated. The characters include several women in high places and that is exceptional. Next for me, from the attack of the tiger sharks near the beginning, I knew this one would be exciting. The Cessna and the Land Rover scene near the end made my blood pressure rise and shortly thereafter I had to take an aspirin!! Absolutely exhilarating in those final pages.” AMAZON 5 STAR REVIEW

Helldiver, the fourth book in Chris Allen’s bestselling Intrepid series, contains the best build up to the main story that I’ve read in years!

From fast boats, to car chases and hard hitting gun battles on the streets of Honolulu, where former paratrooper Major Alex Morgan earns his title policeman, soldier and spy. Morgan now an agent of Interpol’s ‘black-ops’ Intelligence, Recovery, Protection and Infiltration (Intrepid) Division is on his next mission.

Following on from his last mission in Avenger, Morgan is taking a break from Intrepid and goes in search of some private work. He finds it providing security for eccentric billionaire Hedeon Zolner, aka Helldiver...Morgan foils an attempt on Zolner’s life, but Morgan suspects there’s something not right about Helldiver. Morgan is called back in as Intrepid faces it hardest mission yet being attacked from the inside.

AVENGER

“Chris Allen’s latest book AVENGER: Intrepid 3, sees the return of a vengeful enforcer, Alex Morgan the Interpol special agent who is back in the most exciting Spy/Thriller Series since Ian Fleming’s James Bond.” AMAZON 5 STAR REVIEW

Another gem by Allen. Oozing authenticity and precise attention to detail. Aptly titled ‘Avenger’ follows Alex Morgan along a path of challenges that rock his world. The pace and intrigue of this novel will keep you turning the pages until the very end. Allen has the ability to convey the personalities of the character, including the protagonists, to bind you to their plight for better or worse. The clear and vivid descriptions allow even the the most authentic critics to be involved in the story. Great read.

HUNTER

“..a rollercoaster ride of action, suspense and espionage that you really don’t want to miss….I could feel my hands sweating, my eyes widening and my heart pumping. I became so deeply involved with the characters and their headspaces that I’m glad no one was watching.” AMAZON 5 STAR REVIEW

Wow! I have just finished reading Hunter: Intrepid 2 - the second novel by Chris Allen. What can I say? Having hungrily digested every word, scene and chapter in Defender: Intrepid 1 just over 12 months ago, it was with great anticipation that I awaited the follow up adventure. I wasn’t disappointed. Once again, Chris has the ability to place the reader right there in every chapter. It is thoroughly believable - an absolutely fantastic read which had me on the edge of my seat. Alex Morgan has become one of my all time favourite action characters - charming; clever and debonair, combined with a a steely resolve to do what is right by whatever means possible. Well done Chris Allen. I can’t wait for Intrepid 3!! I would recommend the Intrepid series to anyone who loves a good thriller, combined with loads of action. You won’t be disappointed.

DEFENDER

“Faced paced! Move over James Bond, Alex Morgan is on the case!! If you like Clive Cussler’s characters and Jason Bourne, you’ll love the guys at Intrepid.” AMAZON 5 STAR REVIEW

Defender...is an exciting, fast-paced thriller that captivates the reader from the first page to the last. In this story an undercover intelligence agent , Sean Collins, is brutally murdered, another agent has gone rogue and the President of Malfajiri , an small African country with rich resources is in danger. As civil war in Malfajiri mounts, Interpol agent Alex Morgan under the guise of an evacuation specialist is sent to prepare the Chiltonford workers for escape before the rebel armies attack, but his real mission remains top secret. What Alex doesn’t know is that Arena Halls, a Foreign Office analyst has been sent to monitor his every move. As their lives intertwine, they’ll face chaos and death as Baptiste, a lethal despot and his rebel forces go on a killing spree to gain power. The action never stops as Alex follows Lundt, the rogue agent to Sydney and as a storm of lethal bullets swirl around him will uncover a deadly conspiracy as he struggles to save Arena from certain death.

The plot is spellbinding, the story well-written obviously by a writer who has experienced action as a real soldier. The characters are unforgettable and stay with the reader long after the story is finished. Alex Morgan, spy, soldier and policeman is tough and composed under fire. He’s a man who enjoys upholding justice in a chaotic world and never questions his role until he meets Arena Halls. The self-assured Foreign Office agent appears independent, and tries to ignore Alex ‘s natural charisma, but as the plot thickens Arena must tackle her inner fears and decide what her feelings are for the Interpol agent. Add to these two the clever and insightful Nobby Davenport, and brave, resourceful warriors like Sutherland, Fredericks and Garrett . Even the antagonists are memorable; Lundt the heartless rogue, Abraham Johnson the power -hungry acting head of the Foreign Office, the greedy and depraved Turner, and Cornell, the weak-kneed civil servant.

I thoroughly enjoyed this power-packed novel and recommend it to anyone who wants to read a heart-stopping thriller.
